open (.osexp) on linux

We just tried to open our experiment file (.osexp programmed on windows) on a laptop on linux.
(We let it run on participants laptops, so they can do some sessions at home)
Seems as if the linux version does only open the older .opensesame format.

Is there a way to open the new format on linux?

  • Hi,

I'm guessing you're running Ubuntu and have installed OpenSesame from the default repositories, right? That version is ancient. On the download page you can find installation instructions for various flavors of Linux:

(OpenSesame is mainly developed on Ubuntu.)
