Interpreting a multiple heirarchucal regression

Hey all,
Wondering if anyone can help me with my first heirarchucal analysis...
I need to explain the extent to which alcohol (mediating variable) explains associations between negative mood, impulsivity and academic performance (DV) ..
When I run the analysis negative mood is not significant at stage one of two of the model (when I entered alcohol use in).
As such how would yo interpret these findings to fit the research question?
Any help would be appreciated!

  • Hi Kay,

It would be good to see the exact analysis, for instance a screenshot of the critical outcome -- right now things remain somewhat abstract. I can always recommend a Bayesian analysis, of course :-)

    Cheers,
    E.J.
