Normality and Homogeneity

I am new using JASP, or rather new using bayesian approach. My first question is very simple: Is it equally important for Bayesian methods that the criteria of normality and homogeneity of variances are met as in the parametric frequentist methods?

Thanks

  • Hi Matue,

Yes it is. We are in the process of developing Bayesian procedures to make these assessments (or lessen the importance of violating these assumptions, for instance through analyses based on ranks)
