How to Calibrate Eye Tracking Multiple Times in OpenSesame?

I am trying to use Pygaze in OpenSesame for an eyetracking experiment. I have used all of the plugins I need, however, I attempted to play the pygaze_init plugin in multiple times throughout the experiment, which is not allowed. I want to calibrate my experiment multiple times throughout, not just at the beginning. The experiment is fairly lengthy and I want to ensure good calibration throughout.

Is there a way I can override the system message and calibrate more than once?

Thank you!

  • Yes, just use an inline script with

    Wherever you need it.

  • Thank you very much for your response!

I am also now using inline script to log messages to the experiment file (.rdf).

I was wondering if you know how to log the category of the stimulus presented from its spreadsheet? FOr example, our stimulus is either "plus" or "exes" in the condition column on excel.

I tried using this code: eyetracker.log(u’word:$s’$word)

    But no luck.

    Thank you!

  • Hi,

to log a variable you have to use the syntax eyetracker.log_var(var,val). See the documentation:
