Keyboard response that would not end presentation

I have been trying to make memory experiment in which during the study phase participants have to make another task simultaneously. Each time the stimuli is presented the additional task is presented with it and participant have to respond.

And that’s where the problem is. The response is ending the presentation, but because it is memory experiment study phase it must be fixed time presentation.

How can I make it happened?

Thank you in advance for your help.

  • Hi Obid,

i am not sure about your task.

Maybe setting a second keyboard response helps you out? This would be very easy.

If you have a variable number of responses (sometimes two, sometimes no response), you may need a while loop in an inline_script.

  • Hi,

If you don't have to give two responses per stimulus, you can check out co-routines

Basically, you set the duration of the images independent of the keyboard response. Let us know if you need help.

    Good luck,

  • Thank you very much for your help! And sorry for my delay in answering to your suggestions.

Co-routines are exactly what I was searching for - it works perfectly.

    Once again thank you! :)
