Bayesian Credible Interval = Confidence Interval?
Hey everyone,
I just asked myself, whether the credible Inteval in the model averaged posterior summary is the same as, or comparable at least to the common confidence Interval?
Kind regards,
Niklas

Dear Niklas,
In general, confidence intervals are numerically close to credible intervals (with a flatish prior or relatively informative data, for most models). But conceptually the procedures are very far apart. See for instance https://learnbayes.org/papers/confidenceIntervalsFallacy/
