[open] Qnotero not working in Ubuntu 12.10

  Qnotero appears to be fine. My guess is that you simply don't have any entries in your Zotero database that are recognized by Qnotero. For example, Qnotero will only recognize bibliographic entries, such as journal articles, not files that are stored directly in the Zotero database (i.e. not as an attachment of an entry).   That is simply not the case. The zotero standalone database is full with bibliography information and link to files (not as attachments). The search functionality in zotero standalone, tags all those things work perfectly.

  One observation: When I asked qnotero to find automatically the database, it found the firefox one, instead of the standalone one. I believe that is the issue.

  Qnotero will simply autodetect the first Zotero folder that it comes across, which may (by chance) be the Firefox one. That in itself is not a problem. You can override this, and from your output it looks like that's what you have done, right? So if /home/cosmicraga/mySync/zotero is indeed the folder that Zotero standalone has been configured to use (under Preferences -> Advanced -> Files and folders), then the location is specified correctly.

  I'm not sure why it doesn't detect your references. What terminal output do you see if you search for something?

  Well, I did not change anything, but now it shows results in search, but clicking on those results does not open the file.

  Qnotero will only open PDF files that are attached to a bibliographic entry. So it will not open the entries themselves (in Zotero or something), nor will it open PDFs that are uploaded as top-level entries. But if you attach a PDF to a reference you will find that you can open it by double clicking on the reference in Qnotero.
