[solved] How can I buil Task switching experiment? Please help!

Hı, I want to buil a task switching experiment for my thesis. This task will be like that: the participant will see a letter or a digit in the screen and if the digit is odd number he/she press "-" and if it's not individual press "+", if the letter is consonant he/she will press"+" if it's not press "-". But I can't it. I have been trying to understand how ı can do it by studying example experiments (gaze cuing etc.) İt's not clear for me, maybe my english is not enough to understand the instructions. Please, could someone help me?

To be able to help you, we would need more information on how exactly your experiment is supposed to be structured. So, e.g. Are the stimuli randomized per trial or block? Do you want to have complete randomization of stimuli, or still have some control when repetitions/switches occur?

Depending on what you need, the solution can look quite different.

Did you also try one of the tutorials? It is easier to be lead step-by-step through the development of an experiment, than just getting the end product and trying to understand what is supposed to happen there.

Stimuli will present as complete randomization.

I tried the cat faces experiment. And by getting inspire, I tried to add the letters and digits the sketchpad as a .bmp folder(I form odd and even digits, consonant and vowel letters in paint and I saved them as a .bmp) Like cat faces experiement I add them sequence, and I named the variables (stimuli as "hepsi", and reactions as "tepki"). Then I add one of them to skecthpad and edit it. But when I change the folder name as a variable name with [hepsi] , the program give error "image name "[hepsi]" is unknown or variably defined, using fallback image"

Please tell me what wrongs are, I can't detect? There is another way to present lists?

I solve the problem by installing the current version. And I realize that I don't need to .png or .bmp folders to present a list. I did the task swithching experiment. But there is a problem: I set the sketchpad duration as 200 ms. Althoug in the practice phase the letters and digits are passing normal speed, in the experiment phase they slide so fast
(I guess it slide 200 ms but the other phase don't.) Should I set the practice phase' sketchpad more fast than 200 ms ? Thank you.

Happy to learn you've fixed the problem!

A practice phase is there to get the subject acquainted with your task. Sometimes it's helpful to get your participants to practice on an easier version of a task, e.g. with higher contrast stimuli or longer presentation times.

This, however, is completely up to how you would like the task to be, so please do set the durations to whatever you feel is appropriate.
