[solved] OpenSesame 3.0.4 Logger problem

edited January 2016 in OpenSesame

Hi Sebastiaan,

I have recently prepared a series of seminars for the University of Granada (Spain) on how to use OpenSesame to design a Self Paced Reading Experiment.

I designed the experiment using OS version 2.8.1 (since 3.0.4 was not running very well in my PC). The thing is, in version 2.8.1, once I have set all my variables and go to the logger to choose which ones I want to be saved into the .cvs file, I would automatically get a long list with all the variables.

However, when trying to do so with version 3.0.4, the program seems not to detect any variables and requires me to manually introduce them.

Any idea if I am doing something wrong? or does version 3.0.4 logger work differently?

Thanks a bunch!

Priscila.

That is very cool to hear. And I look forward to visiting Granada next year for Psychonomics/ ESCoP!

This is purely a visual difference. The list that OpenSesame showed previously was slightly misleading, because there was no guarantee that OpenSesame would detect exactly the same variables when the experiment was actually running. Therefore, this list is no longer shown—but the variables are still automatically detected and logged if the 'Log all variables' option is enabled.

    Cheers and happy holidays!

There's much bigger issues in the world, I know. But I first have to take care of the world I know.
