What do the values for 'Valid' and 'Missing' represent in descriptive statistics?

When getting descriptive statistics what do these two values mean?

And for the love of god - is there any documentation for this software anywhere? Even just a simple list of parameters and what they mean would be enormously helpful.

    Hi Dan,

Well, "valid" indicates the number of valid responses (usually just the number of rows), and "missing" indicates the number of missing responses :-) (if some rows do not contain values in the relevant column). We are working on documentation, manuals, etc. For some entries, there is help available in the menu (check the top right icon to get help for the analysis that you are doing at the moment).
