Eye tracker and simpletime problems

silviacsilviac Posts: 1

Hi all,
I’m building an experiment with “the eye tribe” eye tracker. In the output file I have the records of a fixation point every 33.33 ms (sampletime), but for my experiment I need to increase the milliseconds (in order to have more observations). Is this possible with this eye tracker? How can I change the default sampletime on OpenSesame?
Thanks for the help,

    HI Silvia,

According to this paper you can increase the sampling rate to 60 Hz and get samples every 16.7 ms. However, 1ms precision is not possible with the eye tribe. Unfortunately, I don't use the eye tribe myself, so I can't tell how to adjust the sampling rate.

    Good luck,
