Interpretation of RM ANOVA

Hi everyone,

I've conducted a RM ANOVA with group (2) and time (2).
I was wondering, if it is possible to see, how much including the interaction adds to the model with the one (not the two) main effect of time? Would it make sense to repeat the RM ANOVA with group put as nuisance?
Thanks a lot for your help!

    Dear Aennkin,

JASP respects the principle of marginality, and this means that when the model includes an interaction term, it also includes all of the constituent main effects. For more background and references on this principle see Part II here (in the pdf, search for "marginality"): https://osf.io/m6bi8/

    Cheers,
    E.J.
