Inconsistent Bayesian results in JASP?

Hi all,

When I run and rerun Bayesian repeated measures ANOVAs in JASP using an identical dataset (Excel csv file), I find that the results will occasionally be different. This isn't dramatic, e.g., 0.046 vs. 0.041, but they are inconsistent.

I'm wondering if anyone knows why this might be and how I can fix it?

Thanks!
Sarah

    Hi Sarah,

This occurs because that particular analysis requires numerical techniques. I am on my cell phone but I believe that under Advanced Optiobs you can increase the number of draws that determine the accuracy of the approximation. You could also report the result and mention the "% error", which gives an indication of the extent to which the results may differ.

    Cheers,
    EJ
