Is there currently a connection issue with the OSF plugin? (possibly my end)

neonneon Posts: 61

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of any current issues with the OSF plugin not working at the moment?
When I try to sign in, the pop-up window where you would normally sign in is blank.

It could well be a problem at my end e.g. the ports that are used being blocked etc. If someone knows which ports are used for this please let me know

edit I'm also getting an error when checking for updates - I am being asked if I am connected to the internet.
Looking more like it's something at my end - but if someone could let me know which ports are used for both checking for updates, and OSF, that would be great.

TIA,

Neon

    Hi Neon,

Yes, this must be something on your end. For me everything works fine. I'm not sure which ports are required for the OSF plugin, but the update checker simply uses http (port 80). Maybe OpenSesame is blocked as a program? Could that be it?

    Cheers,
    Sebastiaan

There's much bigger issues in the world, I know. But I first have to take care of the world I know.

    Hi Sebastiaan,

Thanks. Yes, if the update checker uses http on port 80 then it must be that the program is blocked :'(
Hopefully I can get the 'data police' here to revert this recent change, as the OSF plugin is really handy when switching from work to home etc.

    Thanks again for your input.
