JASP Stepwise logistic regression: stepping criteria?

edited December 2019 in JASP & BayesFactor

Hi there,

when doing a stepwise logistic regression in JASP, I cannot see or specify anywhere how the model selection stepping algorithm decides here (ist it based on significance? At which cutoffs? AIC?). When clicking on analysis info, it is explained that the stepping method can be specified in "Options" - however, this settings menu is not available for logistic regression (only in linear). Have I overlooked anything? Any help ist greatly appreciated!

  • Hi Flix,

Thanks -- I'll pass this on!

  • Hi Flix,

the stepwise option for logistic regression is based on AIC. It's on our to-do list to equalise the stepwise procedure for linear and logistic regression.
