  Yes I did, but they did not help much in my case.
  So, let me ask another question. I hope you have the time to help out.

  Can you please explain to me the setup shown in the following video?
  

  This is what I understand:
  The setup is comprised of a PC and a laptop. The experiment builder is running on the PC. In the beginning of the video, the experiment is started on the PC and the fake stimuli (stimA, stimB, etc.) started to show up. Every stimulus writes an integer value to the parallel port.
  Then:
  As far as I understand, a parallel-port-to-usb converter is used; this is the input to the laptop through a usb cable of course, right? The usb cable is shown in the video as a black striped cable with a silver tip at the end of the laptop, right?
  If all of the above is correct, does this mean that there is no “direct” cable or connection between the PC and the EEG unit? They are just both connected to the laptop?
  One last [silly] question: What is the software that was running on the laptop on which the sent triggers was shown?

  Hi,

  As far as I understand, a parallel-port-to-usb converter is used;

  Not sure about that. But in general (at least the BIOSEMI system does so), EEG recordings are send via a parallel port to the recording computer (in that case the laptop), I doubt that many laptops have a parallel port, so I suppose the signal must be converted first.

  I think that is an HDMI cable and only used to bring connect the screen to the laptop. I guess.

  The software is the BIOSEMI's actiview (https://www.biosemi.com/download.htm)

  Not quite sure (the video is not giving many details), but I think there is no pc. Everything runs on the laptop. But that's just a guess.

  I can't thank you enough, Eduard, for your time and concern.
  I agree; the video is not showing any details.
  As far as I understood from your answer, if everything is running on the laptop, so this means that the experiment builder is running on the laptop and the output is shown on the screen, while the BIOSEMI is also running on the laptop but the output is being shown on the screen of the laptop!! In my humble opinion, this is weird, because the output of all the programs running on the laptop could have been shown in different windows on the screen of the laptop. Also, I can't see the OpenSesame among the currently running programs in the taskbar of the laptop, right?

  Yes, you're right.

  There are two different task bars, suggesting that there are in fact two different computers. But as already said, it is hard to see how the computers do communicate with each other. Normally, it is done with a parallel port connection, though.
