Tutorial "Advanced"

Hey everyone,

I'm new here and have a problem by running the experiment from the Tutorial "Advanced".
I've followed step by step.
In the end, I've started.

The practice_loop is working exactly, but after the practice_loop my PC has got a problem with de Experimental_loop.
I've said, like in the tutorial: practice_loop 0,5times.
I've said too, experimental_loop 2 times.

After finishing Practice_loop my PC always shows me the experimental_loop part 1 or part 2 in a never-ending loop.
after 45min I exited. I'm really looking hard for different problems, but I can't find my misstake.

Please help me ASAP

  • Hi Jasmin,

You have to provide more detail if you want us to be able to help you. Right now, i can't even guess what is going on. You can also upload the experiment.

But just make sure, that advanced tutorial was written for an old version of opensesame. I am not sure whether it is completely compatible with the current version without making a few changes. So, if you are using the most recent version, this could be the reason that it does not work.

  • Hi Eduard,

    thanks for answering.
Here is my one. I've changed only the language. The rest is like in the tutorial.

Thank you for spending your time

  • Hi Jasmin,

there is no problem at all. Your experiment just takes a little longer than 45 minutes. Note that you set the block_repeat value to 2 for each block type, which will add up to 20 blocks I believe. If you reduce the value to 1, you can test whether your experiment is actually working.

    Good luck,
    Edaurd
