[open] How to add a mediaplayer clip in OpenSesame

edited November 2015 in OpenSesame

I was wondering if someone could explain in very basic steps how you add a movie in your experiment in OpenSesame:
I use version 0.26 and there is a media player item on the right but when i click on it, it gives this error: Failed to load plugin 'media_player'. Error: DLL load failed: The specified module could not be found.
I'm very new to OpenSesame so don't know much about scripts. Is there a script format that i could use to insert the clip? Or is there another solution. Hope someone can help me out!

Thanks

    Hi,

First of all, is there a reason that you are still using version 0.26? By now, it is pretty outdated and it might be better if you used a newer version. Also the media_player plug-in is not the best choice to display videos. It is better to use the gst_media_player. However, I don't know whether it was already available for the version you are using right now.

Aside from that, did you follow these instructions on how to install the plug-in?
