[solved] Missing Icons when running from source on Windows XP

edited January 2013 in OpenSesame

Hi Sebastiaan and Everyone,

First, congratulations for this amazing project!

Second, in my group there is a project involving an SMI eyetracker, and we are considering the possibility of rewriting part of the code of our project to make use of the many advantages that OpenSesame offers.

I was able to successfully fork OpenSesame 0.27 and run it from source on Windows XP, but I have a problem: many of the icons are not shown in the GUI. (see attached image).

I ran it with --debug but no errors like "icon image not found." are shown.

I am not familiar with PyQt or windows icon themes at all, any tip or pointer will be very appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Francisco

    Hi Francisco,

You're probably missing the Faenza icon set. This should be added to the resources/theme/default directory of your OpenSesame source folder.

You can find the Faenza set online (EDIT: http://tiheum.deviantart.com/art/Faenza-Icons-173323228), or you can rip it off of a standalone version of OpenSesame.

    Good luck!
    Edwin
