Insert video in sketchpad
in OpenSesame
Hi!
In the experiment I am preparing I need to play a video at the same that that display a text that includes the number of the trial.
I know that in Opensesame you can include videos using the specific object, but there is a way to insert them inside a sketchpad?
I do not have any cue about how to do it or if it is possible.

Hi Maye,
Adding videos to sketchpads does not work because sketchpads allow only stationary stimuli. I am not sure about the video plugins of Opensesame, but as far as I know adding stationary stimuli to them is not possible.
According to this discussion here: https://forum.cogsci.nl/discussion/137/solved-simultaneous-image-video-and-sound-presentation you could use Psychopy's MovieStim functions. Then you would probably get a separate experiment window, but for the rest things should run smoothly.
