Pause recalculation of stats whilst filtering and editing
I've recently downloaded JASP - and really like the simple layout and powerful functions. Most of the time, it's pretty quick, too.
But... I have a complex dataset with multiple groups (for example, adult/child). For some analyses, I want to look only at adults; for others only at children; for others, I want to compare both. I know I can copy the datafile, and use different datafiles for different analyses but for quick statistics I'd like to turn filters on and off to compare the different groups.
But each time I try to do that when there are a lot of statistics already run, JASP hangs as it tries to recalculate the old statistics again. Is there a way to stop it re-running statistics until you want it to, or to not create live updates (only to calculate and stop until you tell it to re-run them) ?
Thank you.

Dear rbeesley,
One hack is to temporarily move the dependent variable back to the input box. This will stop JASP from updating. When you are done with the filter, you drag the dependent variable back in. Let me know whether it works!

Dear EJ,
I have had a similar issue and tried your workaround, but unfortunately no luck. Is there anything else you might suggest?
Thanks

I'll attend our team to this. Maybe a pause button would be nice.
I've put it on our to-do list, it'll probably be part of 0.14
