Hi, I'm curious as to why there is a slightly different value given for Cohen's d and Hedge's g for Student T and The Welch test. It is only a slight difference, but as i understand it the maths behind the two values is the same, what am I missing?

Cheers

Richard

  • OK, I'll answer my own question. They use different formula to calculate the pooled standard deviation. I'm unclear as to why however.
