Getting Subject's Particular Data Seperately

Hi everyone,

I am preparing an experiment and have 2 issues which I am not so sure how to solve.

1) I want subjects to give feeadback at the end of study, however, form function is not supported in OSWeb. I used the workaround which Sebastiaan suggested before, but it was usable for a few words and will not work for such a long text. The only solution I could find is to give them a link and get their feedback from there. But I still wonder if there is any other solution.

2)And my main question is: I want to make a raffle among the subjects who completed the study and want to store their email apart from the log file. I want subjects to give their email addresses at the end of study. I know that there is a batch session function, but it will be visible to the participants so I don't want to use that. Is there any other secure way for that?

Thank you for your time and interest in advance.

Best,

Jonah

  • Hi Jonah,

    1. I don't know which solution you used, but one way would be to create a second component where you have a form for long text.
    2. I can't think of any way to store data privately (so not in the batch session data) but also separately from the result data. I would suggest you give participants a link to a different study on your same server, inviting them to enter their email for the raffle. These data cannot be linked back to individual result data (well, strictly you could probably figure it out, using the time at which each result was stored, but I don't see an alternative)

Let me know if you need more details on 1.
