Entering items for factors in Confirmatory Factor Analysis

This might either be a human usage error or some minor bug, I don't know, but I can't seem to find a solution. Maybe someone else has encountered this too and knows a fix.
When defining my factors for CFA, JASP greys out the arrow button that shifts items from the main list to the factor list. This happens to all factors I add. The button is usable when no item is marked for transfer.
This also happens with EFA, but not with the other functions such as correlations, regressions etc.
I already did basic bootstrapping, reinstalled JASP, tried different file types... nothing changed. And I couldn't find a discussion on this topic, so it's either pretty new or connected to my specific setup maybe? I'm lost.

Perhaps your variables are not recognized as scale? Do they have a ruler icon next to them? Maybe you can send a screenshot. If you want JASP to recognize variables as scales rather than ordinal values, you can set the threshold under "Preferences" -> "Data".
