    Dear Lojte

I wish you and your colleagues at the OS, a very happy new.

Thanks very much for the reply.

I have followed your comments but the RTs are not appearing in the output file yet.

    Please see the attached file.

    Peace,

    Masoud

  • Hi @mfp49 ,

Response time is always 0 because you set the timeout of the keyboard_response item to 0. Therefore, the participant doesn't get any chance to respond (and response_time is always equal to 0). If you increase the timeout to something more reasonable, the problem should go away.

    Cheers,

    Lotje

  • Dear Lotje,

I am terribly sorry for repeated questions.

After adding different times for the keyboard, still I cannot see the RTs in the output.

    Any kind advice ins appreciated.

    Masoud

    P.S:

    The program file is attached

  • Hi Masoud,

The problem that Lotje described is still present in your experiment (in the keyboard_response item).

    See this screenshot:

In the field Timeout you should not put 0. If you have it at 0, participants have no time to respond, so that everyone response will be None. If you want to wait indefinitely until participants response you have to put infinite. Otherwise, any time larger that you want to grant your participant to respond, but for your information, times smaller than 300-500 ms don't really make a lot of sense.

    I hope this helps,

    Eduard
