I wanna ask you about Reliability function In JASP

Hello. I know i'm asking a lot of question, but i need more help for my homework.

I found there are 'average item correlation' function, but are there any way I can see the range of item correlation?

and, is 'item-rest correlation' is same word for item-total correlation(CITC)? My homework calls for CITC.

Thank you so much for your help.

  • Hi,

unfortunately within the reliability module there is no way to get a range of inter item correlations. Within the regression module, however, you can get a correlation table for all items. With more than a few items extracting the range might become a bit tedious though.

Item rest correlation is not the same as item total correlation. It seems redundant to compute the correlation between an item and a total test score that contains the item itself. So, unfortunately, there is no way in JASP to get the item total correlation right now.

I hope this answers your question, and also the one you posted here (https://forum.cogsci.nl/discussion/6802/variables-dont-go-to-the-right-pane#latest)?

    Best,

    Julius
