Store download and reuse information between runs in JATOS

edited February 2021 in JATOS

Dear all,

I need to save at the end of an experiment a few variables that have to be read (and used) the next time someone (same link but a different person and pc) connects again.

Basically, I need to vary few parameters in the test based on the performance of the previous participant.

It is a sort of between-participants adaptive procedure.

Do any of you know if any of the Jatos functions allow me to do this?

Any other useful strategies?

I've been trying to study how the Worker & Batch Manager works but haven't found the right way yet.

Thanks in any case for your attention.

Giulio.

    Hi Giulio,

The way to do this is with the Batch Session data (http://www.jatos.org/Session-Data-Three-Types.html#comparative-overview) which is a way to store data that:

I don't know how you've programmed your study exactly, but can help if you need any more details. (Just expect slightly slower responses than usual, we're really busy these days)

    Best

  • Just had another thought. If you need this to be in small groups of people, you might also want to look into the group studies docs. You could use the Group Session data to run several of this between-participant data exchange groups in parallel
