OSWeb experiment only working on some PCs
Hello,
My experiment seems to only work properly on some PCs when running it through OSWeb. Sadly, it doesn't run properly (or even at all) when I try to run it on my PC (nor it does on a lab mate's PC). When executing the experiment on OSWeb it goes straight to a blank screen after the first OSWeb logo screen.
Surprisingly, it does run properly on two other lab mates' PCs. I thought this has something to do with refresh rate but trying to change the duration to different values (470 instead of 500 or 995 instead of 1000) didn't help. For reference my display rate is 59.997Hz, and my lab mate's PC's refresh rate is 60.010Hz (the experiment does run on that PC).
Another idea was that something in browser is faulty because of some errors in the browser's console (see attached picture).
I'm using OpenSesame 3.3.7, OSWeb 1.3.12.1 an up-to-date Chrome browser v88.0.4324.182.
Also, I'm attaching the current experiment (it has a inline_javascript element named 'counter' which doesn't really do anything, but the experiment still worked with it on other PCs).

Hi @OmerBirka ,
I think what you are describing is related to this bug:
The colleagues for whom the experiment does run correctly might have older versions of OSWeb installed.
So you could either manually upgrade to OSWeb 1.3.13 or wait for the new release, which I'm sure will come out very soon.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Cheers,
Lotje

Hi again @lvanderlinden!
Thanks for your suggestion. It worked!
I had some difficult time installing the updated OSWeb version, but I finally made it work (forgot to run OS as administrator).
Cheers!
Ahh, great to hear @OmerBirka !
