I cannot convert results
Hello all.
I have an experiment on JATOS and I was testing it to see whether is it working or not. I also would like to check the results. This was the first time that I use this server and the results were a bit difficult to read. So, I find out that there is a section in OpenSesame which convert the JATOS results into csv or xlsx files. I downloaded the results from JATOS and then tried to convert them with OS, however, when I look at the csv file I saw that it was empty. I couldn't understand what was the problem.
My second problem was regarding linking my experiment and my survey (in Qualtrics) together. I wonder if any of you have information on this matter.
I would be really happy to get some advice and thank you for your time.
All the best! 😊

Your first question you should ask in the OpenSesame forum since you are trying their conversion tool. JATOS itself doesn't care for the format of your data as long as they are in text format, so CSV, JSON, XML are all fine. You could consider changing your experiment to save CSV in the first place.
And for your second question: if you use once of the general worker types in JATOS it should be possible. Just show the link to the JATOS study in the end of your survey. But you probably can't use the single worker types because they have individual study links for each participant and I can't imagine a way to show this in a Qualtrics survey.
Another way is to link your survey to your study indirectly via some identifier. Store both, the survey and your experiment, with this identifier and afterwards join the results in Matlab or any other tool of your choice.
Thank you very much ☺️
Hi @iremozdmr,
Linking Qualtrics to JATOS or JATOS to Qualtrics is possible indeed. You need to do so passing parameters through the URL. You can find information here:
The second link contains downloadable examples in OSWeb. I think you'll find all you need there.
One key information to exchange between your task and survey would be the id of the participant, so that later on you can cross-reference the data set from Qualtrics and the data sets from JATOS.
Hope this helps.
Fabrice.
PS: regarding the first problem (empty data set), that's something you should post indeed in the OSWeb forum. Without knowing more about your task, one think you might want to check is that your task does contain a logger.
