Define duration using response time variable

Hi, I've like to define a sketchpad duration using an inline JavaScript,

I like that the variable "timeduration" will be equal to 4495 MS minus the response time for the latest sketchpad (its keyboard called keySB1_emo_2)

This is what I've been trying:

It doesn't work, and I have no idea what can I do.

I would love some help

Thanks!

Switching the sketchpad to a feedback item has solved the problem

  • Hi @rotemB,

Glad you solved it! Indeed, to configure a stimulus or its properties on the fly, the feedback object is the one to use. The sketchpad is configured and set before the trial sequence runs, so that it does not get updated until the trial sequence has completed (useful to know if you ever wanted a stimulus that needs changing on the next trial based on some aspect of performance in the current trial).

The feedback item is also the appropriate one to use if you want to display anything conditioned to performance in the current trial (whether the response is correct or not, the RT on that trial, or any other information).

    Good luck with your experiment!

    Fabrice.
