unknown worker type

Hello,

I wanted to let my students have a look at how an online study might look and therefore sent them a study link (from a study where I collected data some months ago) using the General Multiple worker type. However, at least one student repeatedly gets the message: "A problem ocurred. Unknown worker type."

I tested the study again on two different devices and do not encounter any problem so I don't know what might be the case. Do you have any clue?

Best,

Anne

  • Hi Anne,

it's hard to tell, my first thought is that the link got cut off in the email, or something along those lines. Maybe ask them to copy and send you back the exact link they're using to access the study?

  • Yes, I thought the same. Probably link somehow got changed.

  • I was thinking the same and today the student wrote to me that she tried it again on a third device and it finally worked. So probably she forgot to copy some part of the link when trying the first two times. It's just good to know that nothing inherently wrong!
