Longitudinal experiment and Prolific
I'm trying to figure out how to set up a custom, multi-day experiment with JATOS and Prolific. My plan is to have a study where a participant does psychophysics training and evaluation for 5 days in a row to look at learning curves. I have some custom HTML and JS I'm using to run the experiment. I haven't done the integration with JATOS yet but I have full control over the platform.
I'm having trouble understanding the interface between JATOS and Prolific. Prolific docs state that one should create multiple studies (one for each day) and daisy chain them through allowlists. JATOS docs on longitudinal studies only refers to one study. My understanding from cursory reading of the Prolific docs is that a single study should be at most one day long.
What would the JATOS and Prolific setups be like for a multi-day longitudinal experiment? Should all the studies in Prolific link to the same JATOS URL? What link type should I use in JATOS? Thanks in advance.
Here are the docs I'm referencing:

Hi, I think the confusion is what each platform means by 'study'. JATOS means a set of JS/HTMLs and results (including batch session etc). Prolific probably means a link that participants can access only once.
What I would do is use the same JATOS study (i.e. the same link) on several separate Prolific studies. With the correct JATOS link (a general multiple), this will allow your participants to access the same link as many times as they get into the Prolific study. Basically, you transfer the gatekeeping to Prolific.
What I think you need is a single study in JATOS if you want to share information between sessions (say stimulus difficulty at the end of session i to use at the beginning of session i+1). Store whatever you need on the batch session data, attached to the prolific ID. Use the same link on five different Prolific studies that you enable through whitelists.
Hope this helps
Best
