It's hard to pinpoint the origin of the issue. is there anything in your task that is conditioned by the subject's characteristics (especially with respect to the code that handles and the query string)? My suggestion would be to examine whether the participants with missing query data differ from others for some reason, and to simulate the URLs generated for these participants to see if the error occurs every time or whether it is intermittent. In other words, does the problem occurs systematically for some participants and not for others?
