ANOVA output of R and JASP differ somehow

I I have calculated an ANOVA for my thesis. First in R and then with JASP. On the pictures you can see the respective output of R and JASP.

My professor says that the outputs are the same but I don't understand this because the outputs show completely different results.

Both the F-values and the P-values are not the same, right?

Are the results really the same and I just misunderstand the outputs?

I would be so grateful for some help. I can't understand how these two outputs are the same when the F and P values are totally different.

  • Hi @bananenkuchen ,

I cannot fully say, based on the information you provide. It seems that the sums of squares are the same, but the F and p-values are indeed different. Did you use the same sum of squares types for both analyses? Did you make sure to make your R ANOVA a RM ANOVA? Perhaps you can provide the R-code you used to create the output you show. You could also send me the jasp file and then I can verify with R (to j <dot> b <dot> vandoorn <at> uva <dot> nl)

    Kind regards,

    Johnny
