"Pixi not found" when running OpenSesame Exp in JATOS

I have an issue with Jatos in an experiment I'm trying to run online. After the task is finished and participants are asked to proceed to the next slide (which contains a form text input item), Jatos gives the error "Pixi not found" and the experiment crashes (see attachment)

. This error does not appear when I do a test run of the experiment in OpenSesame 3.2.8.

I'm using mindprobe.eu to run the JATOS experiment, and I didn't find any information about this error there.

Can you help me solve this issue?

  • Update to add: The error actually says "Pixi not defined".

  • It's not JATOS throwing the error, it's OSWeb (as far as I can tell). I'll move your question to the OSWeb forum

  • Hi @mariee,

It's not possible to tell what the problem is exactly based on your description, but what this error message is telling you is that you're somehow calling on a variable or object called pixi and that this has not been defined (or has been defined locally earlier but is not available in the context in which you are called it.

Have you checked what the detailed error message is in your browser's console? Is that error only occurring when you run it as a JATOS experiment or does the same error occur when you run it through your browser from Open Sesame?

    Fabrice.
