I am currently using hierarchical clustering to find clusters in a set of data and the only I have found to find which data points are in each cluster is by looking at the dendrogram. I have 102 participants in which JASP found 3 clusters, however, in the dendrogram, there are only 99 ticks. Why does JASP exclude 3 of the participants from the dendrogram but not from the clusters ?

  • They might have the same values for all variables? I can’t be sure without the data set.
