Is it possible to create an IAT to share online?

Hello. I am doing a research project at University of Copenhagen, where we have to create an Implicit Associaion Test (IAT). I can see that it is possible to do this with your program, but I was wondering if it is also possible to make the test shareable online, so our respondents can take the test at home? Or is it only possible to take the test on the computer the program is downloaded to?

If anyone knows a free or cheap site, that offers the possibility to create shareable IAT's, recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance :-)

Best regards, Emilia.

  • Hi Emilia,

Yes, that is possible. There is unfortunately not an online version of the IAT Tutorial, but as far as I can see there shouldn't be a problem, running that IAT as programmed in that tutorial for offline use. You can try it, in case it doesn't work the adjustments will be very minimal. For guidance you can compare the difference between the offline and online version of the Winsconsin card sorting task tutorial.

Also check out the documentation about OSweb, which is the online-experimenting version of Opensesame.

    Hope this helps!
