best practice questionnaire with multiple items per screen

Dear colleagues,

Is there a best practice you would recommend when creating a Questionnaire that presents multiple items per screen in OpenSeseame? I would like to create a template similar to the E-Prime file here in which multiple "sheets" of questions, e.g. 3 sheets of 10 items per screen of a 30-item personality questionnaire, can be presented in OpenSesame.

Thanks for the help!

Best, Henk

    Hi Henk,

Best practices with regard to what? In terms of performance or user experience? I don't think there are particularly strict rules. Design your form in any way that you find visually appealing. Performance-wise there shouldn't be many obstacles (to make the form big enough that performance issues might arise, you will have to add so many elements, that it wouldn't make sense visually to do so anyway). Check out

https://osdoc.cogsci.nl/3.3/manual/forms/custom/ to find out about how to customize your form. Whether you can have screens with 10 items on it, I can't guarantee. Best you see for yourself. I also attach one experiment that demonstrate a few forms. Especially the last one (assignment 7), might be something you are interested in.

    Good luck,

    Eduard
