Auto creating Personal Single Worker Links
Hi all,
I have a quick question regarding the personal single-worker links. Is it possible to automate the process for creating Personal Single Worker Links? I.e. we would want to create a comment (ID for the participant) beforehand with a personal single worker link for each of the 10.000 participants. Because of randomization, we need to pre-create the links and I was wondering if this could be automated since otherwise, it will take a lot of time.

Hi Ursa,
You can create many at once in the Study Links page: Go to your study -> click Study Links -> Choose your Batch and in the row 'Personal Single' click on Study Links -> Click on 'New Study Links' and enter the amount you want -> ... It might take a while for JATOS to create 10.000 at once but it's working (I just tried it).

And btw. in the next major release (version 3.8.1) JATOS will have an API that you can use to create study codes via some script of yours.

Hi Ursa, I just want to jumó in to ask - just to make sure you know what you’re doing.
do you really need 10.000 links? Will you really provide them to each participant individually? Seems like an odd approach, though there might be for reasons to do it this way.

Dear Elisa,
thank you for your quick reply. We are doing an RCT (randomized control trial), and want to send every participant a unique link in the email so we can track them back (as we are collaborating with external partner we cannot ask for ProlificID and the external collaborator prefered not to assign ID's), so the link would be the identifier.
And yes, since it goes for a large RCT we are planning on sending 10.000 emails. But if you have any other idea let me know.
