Converting data to ordinal with decimals
Hello, i'm getting back to using JASP after a couple of years and having some teething problems. I have imported my data (Likert data from scales) into JASP, and am having trouble changing all of the columns to ordinal data - the whole numbers, fine, the ones with decimals - computer says no. I understand there is no workaround for this in JASP, but my question is, if I leave these columns as scale (or nominal?) if this a huge problem/will my analysis be wrong. I'm still getting my head around what labelling them as anything other than ordinal means - and am reluctant to round the numbers up or down to wholes.

What analyses do you want to do with these variables? Also, how many distinct values do they have?
Correlation and regression. There are 124 data points per column...does that help?
I don't think it'll matter in that case. Not sure it would ever matter in JASP (I don't know), but for correlation and regression the variables shouldn't be treated differently whether they are scale or ordinal.
JASP assumes that numbers with decimals are not ordinal. How did you get the decimals into your ordinal data? I suspect that you are averaging Likert scores? -- averaging is an operation that is not meaningful for ordinal data (but of course we do it all the time).
