Many results on MindProbe are empty or none (and Duration is none)
Hello,
We are running an experiment on MindProbe. Out of our 88 results, 26 show "DATA_RETRIEVED", 10 show "FINISHED", 48 show "STARTED" and 2 "FAIL".
The 48 results with "STARTED" have a Duration of "none" and there is no data for them.
Any idea what might be going on? Could it be a robot visiting our link? Or a crash that happens on a specific browser?
For the 26 "DATA_RETRIEVED", 14 results last less than a minute and 4 results have a Duration of "none". And there is no data for these 18 results. Again, any idea what might be going on?
The people to whom we sent the link for our experiment are supposed to know how to contact us and none of them complained about our experiment crashing.
Any help would be very much appreciated!
Best,
Coralie

Hi Coralie,
Without more information, any of these things could be happening.
In your place, I would distribute the link to friends and colleagues and ask them to run it on different browsers and systems, and to tell you explicitly if they could finish the study. Essentially, pilot it first. Once you've ruled out specific browsers or systems, you can try to narrow down the problem.
Does this help?

Hi Coralie,
There can be many reasons why this is happening. But the first thing that comes into my mind is, that the participants just clicked on the link to see what this is about and then never actually worked on the study, closed the tab right away. Maybe they even clicked later a second time to actually do the study. Therefore you have some finished studies.

Hello Elisa, hello Kri,
Many thanks for your fast answers.
@elisa: I launched the test on the most common OS/browsers without any problem but it is certainly a good idea to ask colleagues to test on their side.
@kri: yes, that is what I was afraid of...

Coralie
