Trouble making my experiment online

Hi,

I am new to OpenSesame and my question might be ignorant, but I am looking for help in making my experiment online. I have finished creating my experiment on OpenSesame, and I am having trouble getting a URL for it.

I didn't have Java or a JATOS server, and here is what I have done so far: I downloaded "jatos_win_java" from https://github.com/JATOS/JATOS/releases/tag/v3.8.4, unzipped it, opened "loader.bat," and logged in with the username "admin" at localhost:9000 (as instructed in https://www.jatos.org/Installation.html). I then followed the steps described in the YouTube video "Creating online psychology experiments with OpenSesame" regarding exporting and importing my experiment. But, when I finally tried to open my experiment online using the link provided by clicking on "General Multiple," it gave me the following screen:

I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you in advance.

  • Hi Yoonah,

Well, it seems like your experiment is not web compatible. Have you tried it in your browser? If that doesn't work then there is no point in trying to export it to Jatos (yet).

Regular Opensesame experiments cannot run online, for that you need to make some adjustments. See the osweb information in the documentation.

    Does that help?
