Assessing measurement model when using PLS-SEM
Hi,
I have a query regarding the evaluation of a measurement model when utilizing PLS-SEM in JASP. In the current PLS-SEM output, I can observe loadings and correlations among latent variables. However, I'm wondering where I can find additional metrics like Average Variance Extracted (AVE) and Heterotrait-Monotrait (HTMT) for assessing the quality of the measurement model. My understanding, please correct me if I'm mistaken, is that the estimation approach in PLS-SEM differs from that of traditional SEM, so the metrics commonly used in Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) may not be directly applicable to PLS-SEM. I appreciate your assistance in advance.
Best,
K.M.

Hi kmkuo,
that is a good question. So far the measures you mentioned are not implemented in JASP, but they do exist for PLS-SEM and it should not be too hard to implement. I have added your request to this issue https://github.com/jasp-stats/jasp-issues/issues/1982, so you can track the progress there.
Best,
Julius
Hi Julius,
Thank you for responding. I'm looking forward to seeing the revised JASP.
