Linear Mixed Model Output
Hello everyone,
I am trying to run a model with 2 random factors and 1 fixed effect that has 3 levels ("Editing"). At the output, I wonder if anyone can explain what "Editing(1)" and "Editing (2)" correspond to. I hypothesize that it must be some kind of contrast between levels of Editing but how can I find out which contrasts those are? Is the only way to continue on specifying contrasts and see what comes out of that? Or is my hypothesis wrong.

Also, If I want to report the overall effect of my independent variable before reporting the constrasts results, which one should I use? Editing (1) or Editing (2)?
