System Error Black Screen in Browser
Hello!
I'm having trouble running my experiment in a browser (Edge and Chrome) both offline as a test and online uploaded to JATOS. It works well when I run it in OpenSesame itself. I attached the file here.
In the middle of the experiment, I either get an "Aww, snap" error from Chrome or the screen just suddenly blacks out but the audio still plays. This happens in the "POSTAXB_test" sequence of the experiment. The "Aw, Snap!" error from Chrome is specifically a "System_Access_Violation" error.
This is the error in the console:
"Could not load content for file:///C:/Users/Patricia/AppData/Local/Temp/vendors~osweb.1.3.8.bundle.js.map: System error: net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND"
Any help would be appreciated!
Patricia

Hi Patricia,
The error you are receiving has likely nothing to do with your problem. the .map files are not required for OpenSesame to work correctly.
This seems to be unrelated to OSweb. I did a Google search to STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION and it appears to be a bug specific to Chrome 81. In this article they pose a few workarounds for this problem: https://piunikaweb.com/2020/05/11/google-chrome-aw-snap-status_access_violation-status_invalid_image_hash-error/, but may upgrading the Chrome browsers also works?
I hope this helps.
