ZTest
Hi
I am using JASP to analyse a data set - see attached.
One issue I am struggling with is I need to identify the two tail p-value for a ztest for equal proportions for 0 or 1 in Z without a continuity correction.
I have been unable to work this out using JASP - can you assist please?
I also have this follow up question:
Based on the p-value above would you reject "equal proportions" at the 5% LOS?
Is there a way of showing this in JASP or is this a manual calculation?
Thanks

Hi,
Go to the 'Frequencies' module, select 'Contingency Tables', and input your variables by placing 'Z' (the binary variable) in one field and your grouping variable in another.
However, to conduct a z-test for equal proportions, having a grouping variable that divides your data into two distinct categories (e.g., Group A vs. Group B) is essential. Based on your provided data, neither column 'X' nor column 'Y' appears to represent such a categorical grouping variable.
Hope this helps.
