Migrating experiments from Pavlovia to JATOS
Hi all,
I want to transfer my experiments from Pavlovia to JATOS and I don't know where to find the .lib folder in which these missing files are supposedly located. I checked my PsychoPy folder on my PC and my repositories on GitLab, but to no avail.
Also, since I've seen a few people ask about this while the Pavlovia team seem to be keeping very quiet about it, all the things I learn will be posted here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IubFswJVEnmKtyUdC4YH_DZuR4xtQ5U9a-_BLXlcxM0/edit?usp=sharing
Thanks,
Renato

Hi Renato!
I always wanted to turn a PsychoPy/Pavlovia experiment into a JATOS one. I'm sure it isn't to difficult - but I've never found the time to do it. Maybe now is the time :)
Great idea to put everything in a Google Doc!
Now to your question at hand: Did you see this message: https://discourse.psychopy.org/t/error-running-locally-failed-to-upload-resources/30225/4?
Is your experiment on Pavlovia? Can you give me a link (you can send it to my privately)? I could try to extract the experiment from there.
Best,
Kristian
Hi Renato and Kristian,
I wanted to ask you if there was any progress on migrating experiments from Pavlovia to JATOS, as I am trying to do the same thing...
Best,
Filip
Hi Filip,
Unfortunately I've never got an answer from Renato and then never worked on it. Although it shouldn't be too difficult. Let me give it a try with one of the many example studies Pavlovia has. I'll report back here how it went.
Best,
Kristian
Hi Kristian,
That would be really helpful—whether you're able to migrate it or just assess how complicated it would be.
Thank you in advance!
Best,
Filip
Hi Filip,
I made progress. I managed to turn two of PsychoPy's public demo experiments into JATOS studies. Here there are (if you are interested):
And I made a little document how I did it:
It's not too difficult I think but it involves a few steps. Please tell me what you think and if it makes sense to you.
Best,
Kristian
Thank you, Kristian,
I'll give it a try and report back.
Best,
Filip
Hi Filip,
I turned the Gist into a documentation page: https://www.jatos.org/PsychoPy-and-JATOS.html. I also changed it a bit; now one does not have to edit the JS file but uses the PsychoPy Builder to add the code.
Best,
Kristian
