JASP: nested descriptives for two factor data set
JASP is great for creating comparison between levels of One IV in Descriptives. However, it does not have option built-in for nested Descriptives results if one has two IVs.
For example, I have a Group IV with two levels and a Condition IV with two levels. One DV.
I can only get descriptive using Split group for one IV at a time. For example, for the Group IV. If I want to get the “cell” information for Group-by-Condition (e.g., M/SD/IQR/Shapiro) I have to filter the data at one level of Condition, copy the result to WORD, and then repeat for the other level of Condition.
Is there a workaround or is there any work being done to develop an option so that I do not need to filter at one level of one IV.
Thanks,
paul

Hi Paul,
Right now there is no built-in way to do this. You could create a new variable that is an interaction of the two independent variables and then use that as a grouping variable in descriptives. Alternatively, you could look at the descriptives in ANOVA.
Hope that helps,
Don
Create a new variable that combined both IVs (i.e. a single variable to indicate which cell of the design the person is in)
This text makes sense, but the random url makes this spam, unfortunately. Paul, this is an excellent feature request for our GitHub page (https://jasp-stats.org/feature-requests-bug-reports/)

If I use the Descriptive Statistics from the ANOVA module, will that output include measures like the IQR and the Shapiro-Wilk test, or is it limited to just the Mean and SD?

great idea
