[open] Parallel port trigger plugin

edited April 2014 in OpenSesame

I have installed the plugin correctly and i can now insert into my experiment. I was just wanting to test it so i have placed the plugin item under a sketchpad in a sequence. I have put duration of 5, value as 155 and port address i have kept at 0x378. I have tried running the experiment and no triggers are being sent. Must i insert any inline scipts at any point to get this plugin item working? Am i missing out on a step? thanks

    Hi Joshua,
I use the plugin as well.
No, you do not have to put in any additional inline scripts.

What operating system do you use?

If it is Windows you might have to use another port number. You can look that up under the Windows control panel. Look for Hardware or System (I always forget which one as I mostly use Linux) until you get the list of installed hardware. There select the your parallel card (LPT) and go to the resources tab. The first number in the first line is your port address. Remember to put 0x in front of it in OpenSesame (this makes your computer interpret the following number as hexadecimal code).

    Does this help?

    Cheers,
    Johannes
