[solved] keyboard_response doesnt work, not one of them :(

edited December 2014 in OpenSesame

Hi, i'm new with opensesame, but i think i got the most important points how to work with it..BUT....when i'm truying to set any keyboard_response it doesnt work, which means that the expyriment doesnt run.it just shows the first "intructions-page" which i did with an form_text_display followed by an keyboard_response Sequence for starting the expyriment with pressing a key. i tryed many options like "SPACE", "1", or any other key, the expyriment does not run.
maybe i just forgot something really basically?
thanks for your help.

    Hi,

Did you also try to use the mouse and press the "Okay" button?

In general, "keyboard_response" elements are not used for enabling the user to press a key and proceed in the experiment, but only to actually log the keypresses that are made. So, normally your instruction screen should disappear and followed by the experiment sequence regardless of whether you put a keyboard responseafter it or not. Your setup only makes sense, if you want to know with which key subjects started the experiment (which is probably not want you want).

    Does this help?
